Am I the only one to notice this ?
Im kinda curious about the source of all that traffic?
To new members; where the hell did you find us ?
-
The same way you found Evilzone. And its pretty common to see new members comin in large numbers.
-
I find it rather unusual? May be we are being invaded by aliens who want to learn how to h4ck like 1337's.

We have been in a increasing line of members since the beginning of evilzone ;)
-
Yeah we always have had increasing numbers, it's the ones who stick around who count.
-
Our knowledge acts as its own filter.. Those who can't handle it, leave. Those who can become everybody who has posted in this thread.
-
Don't mind new members but I agree it's ridiculous we have like 5 new introductions a day and 99% of them we don't see after the first week.
-
That means the silent evilzone community filter works. We can't stop idiots joining, but we can prevent stupidity from overtaking the community. There is Hackforums for stupid people, we don't need another like it.
The source is from everywhere. Evilzone is a big website, very well known among those in this part of the internet.
-
well first off, as stated i found it cuz i wanted a pdf of game of thrones...Anyway i think the NOT so silent treatment given to the idiot i r l33tz posts kind of prevents them from coming back. which is a nice little system.

Heh, that single thread still remains EZ's most viewed, I think.

Not to intrude on your "insider talk" but I've known of this site for few months.
There are obviously a lot of "noobs" or people that really should be reading and actively researching/coding instead of wasting peoples times asking shallow questions (lazy)--this phenomenon lowers the quality of the forum. I've seen some really great tutorials though! I'm here for a specific reason (already stated in introduction), and this forum seems most promising. That's my take.
Admin could model memberships and try to extrapolate patterns. Be difficult to isolate any real correlates since members are all over the globe (I'm in US).

Oh come on. you are a registered member of EZ and as far as i we do here, we respect everyone. Trust me "insider talk isn't brought to the open forums.
Am thinking those "am hacker" "wannabe l337" new members just don't find their Holy grail here so they move on to forums with promises of botnets, RATs, trojans. they feel its better to be provided with one an AV will flag right away than join a forum where they are helped and guided to code there own with personal anonymity styles. i pity them.
-
I'm getting a lot of neg karma oy vey! Hope I'm not pissing too many of you off lol
I'm new to the forum, and just care to honor the fact that most of you have seniority.
Anyhow, I do want to point out, we all start at a beginning. Some members I'm sure evolve/time--Perhaps joining, learning--Then perhaps participating more when at a more rigorous level where they're hitting more walls, doing more creative things.
-
I dont believe thats where the issue lies here.
We have well established members that cant write a single line of code.
Its about attitude.
A community , a living organism.
Once you get to know them they are not that bad :P
-
Lots of new members, yes, but as stated its the one that stick around and contribute that really count. I don't think its exactly our knowledge that scares off some of them, I think its the fact that we are not going to help them to become that uber7334 hacker in a day, and tell them that if they want to we provide information, but they will have to work and develop the skill. I'ts not a bad thing at all. Those who want to actually put forth effort and learn, are here today. Those who don't are our single post all stars who make very quick cameo appearances and are never seen again. Just how the world works I guess.

To answer the question in the first post:
I found evilzone by searching for some question about python, and ended up at iexploit. I saw the banner about irc, and went to evilzone from there.
Personally, noobs don't really bother me. I just ignore them, and there's no harm done. Although I think that the "what's the md5 of 'evilzone'" helps filter out the people who are *totally* clueless.
-
Yeah I agree, I thought that question was pretty cool.
