Hey guys :)
I SSHd into a restricted shell, lets call it "get-root.com" (Pseudonym)
I broke out of the restricted shell with the .bashrc file.
Now I have got problems getting root on this shell...
got some ideas to get root or to call a root shell?
have nice day

Check kernel version, look for a local root exploit, check architecture, compile it etc.

Lol, you hacked Eph's server? xD
On topic paste uname -a.
-
Well I actually search for something without a exploit,
tricks like cp /bin/sh over a program called by cron.minutely or
how to inject some code in the bash.bashrc file.
Inject a code in a writable config file usw...
Something like this, its a war game there has to be a vulnerability.
If you still wanna know what Kernel it is: 2.6.27-15-generic
Staff note: There is a modify button, don't double post.

Start with checking for any file with write permissions.
