Hello All,
I read some interesting news article regarding this new addon for Firefox that I had to try out to get my hysteria out of the way.
Link to the news article - http://www.ghacks.net/2013/06/15/firefox-add-on-warns-you-if-you-visit-prism-linked-company-websites/

Happy Nostalgia !

The addon sounds highly annoying, and possibly invasive. Keep in mind that any time a public outcry happens about something, people are looking to cash in. i wouldnt be surprised if its mining at the least some data (ie what sites you visit) to sell.

Hello,
I truly agree with you that this plug-in is annoying; but is it invasive, I do not think so. In fact here is the list of the sites hardcoded into the .js file that you may find here: https://github.com/jblinder/DarkSideOfThePrism/blob/master/data/prism.js let your imagination flourish with what you can do with this information.
Anyway I just found that plug-in a bit amusing since my mind was elevated for a few hours and listening to pink floyd was in a way comforting.

Sorry i think you miss understood me, or i wasnt very clear. i was saying that in general be careful of information/progs etc around a "hot" topic. to many people are out to make a fast buck or worse, off of others concerns.
