LG's touchscreen slider phone:
http://www.lg.com/us/cell-phones/lg-LG272-rumor-reflex
I know there was nothing you could do to the old rumor slider phones, but this one seems to be quite a bit different, so I was wondering if anybody knows anything that I can do to this phone as far as hacking. Could I put a different OS such as android on it (currently running Brew MP 1.0.3)? The phone appears to have potential but I could be wrong..

This is an excellent "dumbphone" and is the one I use in protest of USA's carrier's terrible pricing. Putting Android on it is simply not an option :( but if you hook it up to a *nix and make some modifications to its file hierarchy, you can side-load and run most pirated programs written in Java, use ringtones and play music for free without a data plan. It's also compatible with iPod, so you can use http://handbrake.fr/ to convert vids/music for it.

Well, that answered everything I needed to know. As a new member, I think that's deserving of a +1, especially because of how good your english is. Thank you! And thanks for the handbrake thing, I've been in need of a new iPod..

The Reflex is your new iPod if you filter your media through Handbrake first... and stick to pirated Java apps.. :)
