: Hacking vs Software development vs web development
: Lexcortex July 12, 2013, 09:18:20 PM
At least one of them is what interests any of us here. But what i wanna ask is that which of them...
-is profitable
-more fun
-is the best in all.

Also i thought of being a hacker. But upon the researches i made it involves everything about computers, but am confused of which area to start, and how serious i should be?

Please take a look around the forums before posting, theres tons of threads that explain how to get started. As for whats most profitable, fun, and best in all, there is no hard answer. For profit, look at job projections (i think software engineers make the most, but that takes a degree) if your asking about profit in an illicit manner, then I *cant* say for sure, but I would *imagine* it's limited by your ingenuity. Not that I'm promoting anything illegal here.

For fun, it depends on what you consider fun. Personally I'm not a huge fan of websites, the code gives me a headache too look at, too much UI related stuff. I prefer looking at more of the software codes instead, but I know others who prefer websites and find site related vulns to be the most fun. As for best in all...thats like asking what sport is the best in the world, theres plenty of opinions but no straight "this is the best" (totally would be soccer :P ) you just gotta find what you like, if your really that interested that is.

Cheers man

Daemon explained it really well!

I have worked with websites (both security and web dev) until now and I enjoyed it. I then looked into the desktop application development with languages such as Obj-C and Java. I can't point anything out that funniest, it depends on my mood i guess. Some days I wake up and feels like I wanna make websites and other days I'm in for some Java programming. It really depends.

If you still are unsure you could take a look at my thread: http://evilzone.org/tutorials/where-to-start-with-hacking/

both your choices are wrong. hardware hacking FTW!
