Dont focus on backtrack, just on the tools and how they work. If you dont then you wont get anywhere except to exploit already exploitable systems.

I think the documentation will help you the most. js

i dont like the documentation... to confuzing for me to follow... i understand things better when said and explained to me rather than reading and re-reading...

i just re-read that and i know it sounded shitty so im sorry but the fact is i just learn better if i have some one tell it to me and explain instead of reading... sorry but thats how my mind works...

Yeah someone should write a guide about backtrack and it's tools etc... But on this forum!  *Hint Hint*;)

Like the second post said... do NOT focus on the backtrack, but on the tools :| because backtrack is filled with tools for all kinds of stuff and a guide wouldn't start to cover the backtrack...

In all honesty, dont even focus on the tools. Go for the fundamentals, then the tools, then these so-called hacking OS's.

If you use backtrack and have no idea what is happening when you use metasploit or whatever tool, you are the defention of a script-kiddie. Which is not a good thing.

Do you have any idea how fucking long that would take?

Granted, whomever decided to make such a guide would learn a shitload... "teaching is the best way to learn" and whatnot.

you seem to be extremely lazy...you can't just have someone teach you the tools and be like alright i'm a hacker now!!! If I've learned anything it's that it takes years to become successful at any of this and if you're not going to be willing to put in the work then you might as well not even try.
