That was one of my best guesses, I wasn't 100% sure. However, considering eye tracking technique requires a webcam to monitor the eye movement, I take back my previous suggestion.

Yeah its funny, i searched a little and this answer is the most logic one, found it in yahoo answers.
Your answer is always going to be a multiple of 9, so all the multiples of 9 are the same item.

This is easy. The calculations you make in the beginning will always give one number from a pre-set list of results. Let me explain: if the chosen number is between 10 and 19, the result will always be 9; If the chosen number is between 20 and 29, the result will always be 18; If 30~39 = 27; If 40~49 = etc... etc... etc...
Now the funny part, try the game and read which prizes are in the numbers 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, etc... You'll understand how it works right away.
EDIT: Damn, geXXos beat me to it... I hate you, bro!

@geXXos @Snayler thanks a lot guys

Gexxos and Snyler have already got this spot on. But if anyone's still having trouble understanding it..
Let’s say our number is XY. (if you have chosen 92 then X=9 and Y =2).
So the number can be represented as 10X + Y (in our example 10*9 +2 =92)
Now we have to delete both the digits from the original number i.e., 10X +Y – X –Y = 9X.
Now as you can see from above, the final result will be always a multiple of 9. If you have a closer look at the all the numbers that are multiples of 9, you will find the same item tagged to them. That’s a pretty lame trick, I would say.

Yes, it is. But while one doesn't know how it works, it can be entertaining. It's like the trick where they show you 5 cards and tell you to chose one, and then they show you 4 cards and the one you chose isn't there. No matter which card you'll chose, it will never appear because none of the 4 cards are the same as the five initial cards they showed you.
