I have it working on a spare laptop, it's wonderful. I can control it with any smartphone, can fetch subtitles on-the-fly from inside XMBC, etc...

Doesn't end anywhere since Open Source. I have seen Kinect hacks making a Minority Report style media center. Suggested anything based on who is using it. Fuck this fingerprint crap, why not base your media on height and volume with what the computer sees. Not to mention body language on what the kinect can see.

I had converted one of my old desktops into that media center. But it had to be disassembled :/

Kinect

That's cool. It would be nice to see features like pausing by getting up from the sofa or fast-forward/reversing with the swift of a hand. I wonder how complicated it is to program this things for a Kinect.

Been using it for years on top of an archbox.
Lead dev quit a while ago , unstable eversince , need to kill it every other day.
Apart from that its super good, love it since the first day.
