: Confused about botnet random Topology and Fluxing..

So I think a botnet with random topology is the most anonymous of all. Is this correct? And does it require irc servers/http host? If it doesn't how do you C&C the bot agents. Also do you need  to use any fluxing techniques when having random topology or is this only needed with Star, Multi-server and Hierarchical topologies.
