I already have GTA 3 for my iOS devices and it's exactly the same game and graphics as if you were playing it on a console or PC. The only thing that can get a bit tricky is the way you control the whole game. But when you get the hang of it it will fairly easy.
I'm sure that I will be buying this game, though it wouldn't surprise me if I end up doing it..

iOS first because it's usually easier to develop for (less fragmentation) and statistically gets the most money for developers. In this case it's just because they probably had two teams working on it, one for iOS and one for Android and the Android one got slightly delayed for whatever reason.

YES !, GTA San Andreas is the only game out of the entire series i actually like. I can't wait to get it, it's going to waste so much of my time ... This is the only game i would actually buy and that i never really expected to be on mobile devices ever, but who would of knew.
Well, unless the controls are good and you have a big screen (bigger than a iphone 4) i think it could be great. Same effect i had with PS1 games on a PSP, because the screen is smaller it also looks way better.

I don't really like gaming on mobile. If I had a bigger screen and/or a gamepad with it, then yeah.
I have a Droid Incredible 1, and even emulated gba games hurt my hands when using touchscreen input.

such games aren't even that friendly to play even on a large screen. i've given gta III and vice city a try on a tablet and it's still uncomfortable to use the controls and get a damn hard mission completed unless you have OTG support and have a controller to plug
phones and tablets are meant for simple games.
ps/xbox/pc ftw
