Cobol is kinda outdated? however it's still used in some banks that don't want to invest in an upgrade and instead keeps grandpas to code shit in Cobol.

Of course it is not useful. It was hobby project. You can tell by reading the last remarks on that site:

Of course not! I hacked this together over one night, and without any real knowledge of the language. I suppose the code is utterly horrible.
Btw, you should probably delete all .cbl files after final compilation.
And no one serious would choose a name like that, would he?
However: I like to look into old languages too, it is just interesting how things where and how they evolved. This is a nice example for an utterly useless, but interesting project.
