every once in a while something triggers something in my computer
that enable a flashing of my screen every 30 or so
my screen will go dark for a second and then returns to normal :S
its quit annoying!
and if I shut my computer off it will be restored
until something triggers it again but it can be a minute or a couple hours / a day before it happens again
-
I'd suggest you check the wires but you've probably done that ;D Are you sure you dont have a doggy program running? :P
-
my computer does something close to that. After a few months of doing that it would just overheat and turn off. I bought a fan for it and its A okay now
-
na it isn't temperature related or wired related, it happens randomly at every temperature
-
Have you tried re-installing the drivers? or installing other drivers? because when you are installing video drivers, the screen flashes off-on one or few times. So this might be the driver problem.
-
Like kulverstukas said, check your drivers. Also, if you use any custom OS skins or hardcore graphics, that might cause things like that. Consider turning things down a notch.
-
try full reinstall, try getting out some ram's (if you have multiple, and switch them).
Maybe try to install another graphic card, update drivers, read error log. google it + your setup.

Stop blinking.
-
Arrrg
Situation just got worse T.T
my computer now does it all the time, I cannot reset it anymore with restarting my computer
this is getting me so F**king aggresive.
-
New monitor?
-
no I think its the graphic card or something in software.
-
its trolling me today T.T
I have restarted my PC 8 times now and its still blinking every 20 seconds
I also have updated my software, switch monitors, cleaned my computer
nothing is helping here T.T

Easy solution :)
Just try your friends SMPS (i am sure you know about that)
or try using your friends RAM.
just do as i said. its 100% not graphics card releted or driver releted.
do as i said and problem will be solved. ;D
-
I have the max amount of possible ram for my pc (4gb), and I look into the smps
-
Its not that you have checked in to your SMPS.
some times it happens that SMPS can't provide full voltege to motherboard.
and i am saying that remove your pc ram and try other one.
so try to change SMPS and RAM.
if problem will not be solved by that (and if you checked cables currectly) then i bet you that you have to change your MOTHERBOARD. :'(
So hurry up and do as i say before it effect your motherboard.
i know because i ran computer hardware business for 2 years. i know many things about hardware. :)
-
in that case, lets say my PC has a computer case with an extra large ventilator on top, its not the orginal PC case, but the all ventilators are running on the PC SMPS so setting them highest settings (is possible in this case) then would that be the problem?
-
Is it possible that your hardware is trying to use more energy than your power supply outputs? What is the output of your ps?
-
Why don't you try to remove all connection of extra fans.
and don't forgot to check RAM.
and next time when you purches SMPS, make sure to check voltage. if you are using cpu case having exta fan then purches SMPS of higher voltage.
-
probelm solved, luffy was kinda right with smps thing,
I had to many Usb stuff connect to my computer,
also I have my TV, PS3, PS2, A powerfull lamp, another lamp, Guitar amplifier and computer on one power outlet, so I all drained allot of power, and my grahpic card didn't like that fact :P
-
Well you didn't say but no problem. you are welcome ;)
by the way, you are lucky. it could have damage your motherboard if you had kept that track on.
-
Well.. who would have thought. I'll have to remember this in the future :(
