: Evilzone doesn't feel very big, but it is...
: Kulverstukas January 30, 2014, 11:48:23 AM
I feel proud being an admin here, I really am. The community and the forum doesn't feel quite large because of the handful of people posting, but the forum is large and it seems well known, believe it or not.

I've been stumbling upon and found this on the front page (scroll down):
:
http://www.fromdev.com/2013/07/Hacking-Tutorials.htmland I am sure this isn't the only time EZ was mentioned in big sites.

How do you feel in here? proud? does the community or forum feel small? huge?
: Re: Evilzone doesn't feel very big, but it is...
: proxx January 30, 2014, 01:01:21 PM
Didnt see that before.
I feel the same way, probably because the core members come in small numbers and know each other pretty well, I believe this simulates the sensation of being small.
Perhaps it is because of the strong community feeling.
Yet we have tons of members, mostly they just leave so it seems.

Their is a big knowledge base here. Those that want quick skills run off after a day but if you stay around, this place is amazing.

It has always been a strange effect. In the beginning there was a very close cluster of people who mostly had boobies as avatars and banned every single noob there was. But other than that i always wished to be noticed and be befriended by this group. Sadly i have never had this opportunity but after the new Phase the group formed around us and the cycle began again. But I think it's always important to allow people who stick around for long enough to join the group.

Yeah, I been around this place only for 1.5 years by now and I feel at home.
As Axon kindly pointed out there is evilzone, skids and proxx.
It is interesting that only certain ppl decide to stick around and join the group.
Being the new guy is always hard and it takes time to win the trust of the core userbase.
It is well worth the investment.

I've had my eye on EZ for about a year now, and I just joined. Already I feel a sense of community, and pure authenticity the community. Idk, its just a good feeling of belonging. its hard to explain. Just so happy I came to EZ.

To explain evilzone is a subject matter that no one can describe. We are a large forum, however like with most only few post. Even with my long time "away" there is still the same people that are the most active. People register for the goods but are in fear of being called out for their skiddy like nature. This is not HF, in my heart always home. This is not your average forum but a home to those that have none. In each rendition of EZ there has always been a small group that is closer than the rest but share for all including the leechers. EZ is one of a kind

I've been here for over 6 years now and what I'm really happy to see now is how every board of the forum is at least a bit active. Back in 2007-2008 it was only about hacking and defacing websites for fun. Now there are good technical posts, the programming forums are active (which is really awesome to see) and people help each other to answer questions from anybody. While I don't really post anywhere I still lurk around and as a founding member of this forum I'm really happy to see where were at now.

Wait... There's a closed group? Why haven't I been invited? :(

Evilzone is amazing and for me the community lies much more in the IRC channel than on the website. This is also why I promote the IRC channel in every single welcomming post for new members. If you really want to get into the community, you have to get to talk with people on a more relaxed/personal basis and IRC is great for that. But sadly, too many new members don't see this. They are only here to get an answer on one or two questions and then leave. We're not a closed circle of core members, we're open to almost anyone, but not many succeed to realize how a community works.

Anyway, Evilzone is like a family. You got friends to talk with about almost any shit you can think off. You won't get judged by your problems/thoughts. In many ways, this is better than "in real life" friends since there's no prejudicies.

Stay strong Evilzone!

Can't say I completley agree with that. I will drop by the irc but it seems every time I do not much talking as most are idling. However it does have its role with the community. Also we do tend to shun the skiddy portion of those who register. Then others scared off by the doc. Just my 2 cents

I'm aware, there will be times and I'm always trying to start a convo. The hard part for me is trying to stay in irc yet the wife's naggin to "get off the computer and pay attention to me and your daughter" forums work better for me because I can post and come back to it later at any point and not scroll through 1000 of lines of Rex being gay talking about getting an iPhone.

Evilzone is something special. It can't be explained with words what it means to all of us, but somehow it's a place where we can come, shout what we think loudly , and wait for honest answers of EZ community. Even the speed of help you get here is pretty awesome. And beside all this basic forum stuff, EZ have some interesting history. I don't know all of it since I am kinda new here, but for some EZ is like family and it's awesome!!

That's because it is shorter. There's no possible way you've been admin for two or three years because I've been here two years as of like a week ago. You definitely weren't admin when I joined.

EZs been around too damn long. It's probably the longest standing public hacking and security forum on the net, especially without a bunch of ignorant individuals as others of its kind. EZ is truly one of a kind and hope it stays running for s long time to come. EZ has been a part of my internet life since I was like 13/14 years old it's been a good 8 or 9 years I think, active for maybe 7 or 8. I've seen sooo many changes and to me EZ 3.0 is more like EZ 19.2. Those you know what this site has to offer know it's more than just a place to get information but the family that shares said information. We are the definition of what a community is. Of course we could probably use more knowledgeable people with more skills to post more quality topics but those who look hard enough should be able to find their niche or at least get pointed in the right direction with the help of Google masters.

I'm sorry that I've always bounced around and start sooo many things but never complete them such as my batch guide, compiling wireless drivers at a kernel level for android pentesting, social engineering tutorial, etc. Plus nut using my android root guide with the new tools and exploits used. As far as actual programming and hacking my skills are limited and I don't share in that aspect, what I can share I try. For me it's hard to formulate my thoughts into words to share as so many things rush through my brain at once... all I'm trying to say is

: (java)
public class loveEvilzone {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("I love you Evilzone, I've been with you longer then my fiance of 6+ years");
}
}

Close, but not quite. BinRev has been around for a couple of years longer, and it's also known for being populated by skilled individuals.

Evilzone is a great place to be, even when i don't have nothing important to post or not in the mood, i still navigate at EZ.org to see the colors and to read what other ezoners talking about.
This is the result from the work that admins do and some key members. Sure dog, i'm proud to be a member.

Wow you guys are that new to the forums? I've been around since the summer of '09, so that's almost 5 years... I've been going through cycles of inactivity though, and I've never contributed much at all, but I will eventually. We don't really have much going for a hardware section, maybe I can expand on that some.. I feel a little guilty about being around for so much longer than most but having contributed the least. But this is a great place and even if all I do is go around asking dumb questions, I like it here and I like all of the people here.
: Re: Evilzone doesn't feel very big, but it is...
: Corrupted_Fear February 12, 2014, 07:58:41 PM
I haven't been here to long, and was inactive up until (very) recently, but even when I came back it was the same, The admins, net staff, and regulars all poking fun at each other, but still having fun and producing great quality stuff. I've seen EZ mentioned in a couple of places, mostly referencing to tutorials. I think what makes this place so great (in my opinion) is the community. That it's still a community. Let's face it, if a new poster shows up and posts a 2 sentenced intro, we're going to tell him to retry or leave. This scares away the people who are only here for a quick answer on a single problem and have no intention of contributing in any way other than what helps them. So with the spammers, EP1C H@X0RZ, and other unwanted user archetypes, we're left with a meaningful community of members that work well with each other, are knowledgeable, and able to help those in need. In conclusion, thanks for letting me stick around :)
