i have a basic user and i need to unblock command prompt. when i go on it, it says its blocked by the system administrator. I cant use regedit or gpedit. so is there a way to unblock it without using anything that needs admin privaleges. thanks

How about that sticky keys trick? google it around.

Run command.com?
By the way, stop creating new threads asking for the same thing. Why did you abandon this thread: http://evilzone.org/hacking-and-security/get-past-group-policy/msg76039/#msg76039?
You didn't get the easy answer you wanted?

Frankly as this was the first challenge ever put to me by my mentor back when i was in high school i will give you dick for help in the direct sense. Instead i will say:
1. Learn to think out side the box. What other ways are their to run command prompt? have you tried them.
2.(if their shit is set up correctly) After every trick their is(at least 10) has failed you, how can you do it anyway.
3. realize that you arnt a hacker, never will be, and just google a bunch. im sure you can find a solution that you could have thought of had you actually been a hacker.

Try useing notepad to run your commands. Have you tried powershell? You can try run it from inside excel or use some other method. There alwys is a way, the problem is that once it's open you cn only do the same as the Policy allows you to

Why not vb script?

Why not vb script?
Yeah great idea. You can use it to trigger powershell directly, and powershell has to be enabledd for windows to function properly :P

Try opening any office, insert object, create from file, cmd.exe / gpedit.msc
Should do the trick
If not google for a gpedit standalone, change the filename and try to run it, you may be able to change the settings

I made this when I was in school to mess around. Check out the Axxess option. It replaces the StickyKeys window with command prompt. There are a couple of other things in there that you can also use.

taht was actually the first way i figure out how to do it :P loaded it as an object in word an ran it, that however (in my experience) rarely works now. If its properly locked out in the registry just calling it with say a js script or batch file or as an object will still hit you with an access denied. Still its a place to start :P

A gpedit standalone should do the trick, or do a modified sticky keys trick, however have it call a cmd prompt and since its not logged in it will be admin and run the gpedit from there.
Also another option is to just delete the gp files and registry enties and voila
Other than that some google searches for "i locked myself out of group policy editor" and things along those lines may open some doors from a more accepted friendly approach ;-) enjoy some googlefu
