: Anyone know anything about hackershandbook.org?
: Recon March 13, 2014, 12:02:46 AM
So, I was tab-flipping (compare: channel-surfing) the internet and I stumbled upon this site:

http://hackershandbook.org/

They ask $3.99 to unlock access to what seems to be a fairly good set of tutorials, and supposedly as well evidence of and data from a number of significant-looking cracks, but I am dubious, especially given the fact that some people seem to be claiming they paid and did not get access immediately. Does anyone know if the site is reputable and/or whether they are doing anything blatantly illegal or otherwise likely to have major repercussions?

If you know of any good tutorials for noobs please let me know. I am very interested in hacking. I have the time and the ambition. Have a great day!

-- Use the modify button! Also, stop posting requests for tutorials all over the place. It looks desperate. Find them yourself there's tons of resources on the forum.

You will learn more from our EBook section than anything other places have to offer [tutorial wise anyway]. Yeah, we don't have videos, but youtube is full of great vids. Look up some defcon talks and programming lectures from MIT and other opencourseware stuff.
