: OpenVAS scanning errors
: ElCrabman March 24, 2014, 09:48:31 PM
Hello,

I have some trouble with openVAS. When I start the server, some plugins doesn't seem to load. I have the following message

:
freebsd_chromium19.nasl: The length of the value for the property "description" exceeds the allowed maximum length (is 5139 characters, maximum length is 3192).
freebsd_chromium19.nasl failed to load

There are plenty of them, but the server still works. The main problem is that when I start scanning, I get the following errors :
:
[12589] SSL_CTX_set_options(SSL_OP_ALL): error:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0)
*** Erreur : Réponse invalide PLUGIN_INFO du serveur
*** Erreur : Erreur de mise à jour du cache des plugins
OpenVAS-Client : L'authentification a échoué

How can I finally get this scanner to work ?

install lazy-kali script.it will fix your openvas plugins and load it properly.

The script doesn't work. It seem to start the server properly, but when I connect to it.

Basically libs with different versions, there is no easy answer to this question.
Read documentation and release notes and have fun, this is the linux darkside ;)
You might end up learning something.
