Looks like people are confused, so to settle this, yes, the post count in the member introduction board has been disabled, because the one-word welcome posts and introductions are not really contributing to the overall quality and it fends off new people that want to raise their post level, however I hope this change doesn't discourage people from posting there.
This can be changed back at any time.
