Hi Guys,
I hope this is ok to post. So as a newbie I thought one of the easiest ways for me to get access to websites that are hacked was to find other peoples shells. I have an example of a shell I came across. Here is the link:
http://www.riverwooden.com.cn/en/ei.php?id=10
The shell looks broken (error on page). My question is, am I viewing the correct path to the shell and why is the shell broken? Can I salvage it or should I move onto the next shell?

I think you have the wrong idea about what shells are?

From my understanding, a shell is a PHP file that, when uploaded onto the server allows the user access to files on the server, correct? The example I included above is from my understanding a shell file.

quote from wiki:
Shells are usually large-calibre projectiles fired by artillery and combat vehicles (including tanks), and warships.

It seems the file don't have a good permission. On a try I came to know that it don't run any thing and not functioning. Well all the php codes are visible and codes are displayed. It won't work because as per me it don't have permissions to modify things.
As per the lay out it seem like its a b7ech shell! :D
