Hello! I decided to make myself an acessory for my camera – a flashlight so that I could film at night and because the camera’s built-in 10mm white LED sucks :P . It’s good for filming in a small room, but not in open space. My flashlight has 14 white 5mm LED’s.
The design is really simple and yet it works really great and all the parts I have found around the house.
My design is for cameras that has a screw socket on the bottom to mount it on the tripod, it’s where the flashlight will be screwed on.

Interesting, but wouldn't it be difficult to adjust the angle of the light to fit into the center of the camera plane?

Not really. With a built-in light you can only shine when camera is turned on and only where the camera points to. With this as you can rotate the flashlight where ever, but you can't tilt it up/down, only sideways. I added that little plate(? don't know what's it's called in English :D) before the nuts so I can rotate my flashlight.

A helpful ugrade indeed, but making it ball&socket at the bottom connection would not only let you rotate it side to side but up and down aswell. Just a suggestion, but marvelous work mate.

I like it. Good work, man. I'll have to use your idea, once I find I need to have a flashlight on my camera. :P
