I have seen multiple threads about "why don't we make our own cellphone/device for hacking n shit". Well, here is some slick work I seen on hackaday. There is no GSM modem in it, BUT it is open so gerbers and schematics are available. Putting a GSM modem into it with the sacrifice of some sensors or something could work. I am busy with other projects but have bookmarked simply for the cad files and shit. Want a uber 1337 hacking device in your pocket, you can start here.

Looks like a Chinese rippoff. And aren't there any other "open phone" projects?
