I ran into this app called DriveDroid which basically let's you boot linux images from your android phone to your pc. It can host images as read-only or as writable usb drives and also as cd. It has menu where you can directly download different linux images from the list. List has quit good selection of distros IMO.
I think this is quit nice and quick way to test different distros without having to write them on usb drives. It's also great way to have "live usb/cd" with you. App needs ROOT acces. I hope someone find this useful.
Here's link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.softwarebakery.drivedroid&hl=en
