: Free .me domain name for students

So right now namecheap is having a deal where you can register a free .me domain for a year if you have a .edu email. This a pretty nice deal and I would get this asap before it's all done and over with.

I can confidently say this has gotten me a .edu email address.

I went to https://secure.californiacolleges.edu/Home/Create_an_Account/Create_an_Account.aspx (https://secure.californiacolleges.edu/Home/Create_an_Account/Create_an_Account.aspx) and chose whatever options i did plusthe fact that i am currently not in school [didn't want an extra step]. Then when it was all done and setup[skipping the optional stuff as always], i headed to  https://secure.californiacolleges.edu/Your_Portfolio/Messages/Messages.aspx (https://secure.californiacolleges.edu/Your_Portfolio/Messages/Messages.aspx) and there was my .edu account.

EDIT: It actually gets you a .edu account but these guys say
It appears your email is not associated with an eligible university. If you think this is a mistake please email us at support@namecheap.com
So it won't work for these guys since they do verification shit.

I might just scrap google for a .edu account and wait to see if i won't have control of the CPANEL. it won't hurt me if  that mail goes to some F.
