: RaspiTab

I found this cool thing today: http://www.raspitab.com/  currently on kickstarter but already fully developed.

Though i would only buy it if it got a e-ink screen, that would be lovely for a notification system or something.

I'm having a lot of problems with my Raspberry Pi, it's on ARMv6 so it's impossible to run any app, that's compiled on x86 or ..., I even tried cross compiling the binary, as it happens, i'm unable to install necessary tools to even run configure, make, make install.

So to sum up, if you don need it for running apps other, than already created (and found) in Pi store, don't waste money.

Or stop being an ignorant noob. If you'd just stayed with raspbian and read the manual you would have known that it's all perfectly working.

Did you install raspbian?

Yep, I tried to run the binary on Raspbian and Pidora. And tried to recompile it, but I have packets missing and cannot install them, I'managed to install some of them, but some just won't install. Then I gave up and tried to install ubuntu server but was unable to find installation for armv6 so that also went to hell.

You will need to download every package yourself if there is no armv6 precompiled lib. What where you trying to install?

Some stupid software my boss gave me xD. It's "business secret". I just think he finds stuff that doesn't work and give them to people, so he could give them less money.

You can try archlinux for rpi, there are much more packages (also more up to date) in there.

No need for that, you could just say independently developed.

OK, thank, I will try that.

Amazing find! I just love love love my Raspberry Pi, it's kinda my tinker toy. There is so much you can do with it. I never thought about making it into a tablet. Right now my Raspberry Pi is currently a RetroPie (SNES and Sega Genesis) kept in my room for all my nostalgic urges.
