inj3ct0r was rooted.
The hackers got shells on the other boxes.
They claim ettercap has been backdoored for a while now.
Here's the zine: http://www.exploit-db.com/papers/15823 (http://www.exploit-db.com/papers/15823)
Released on christmas day.

Another "anti-sec" group... they are good, /me thinks, but I also think they are doing shit instead of cleaning "the scene"...
also, what's the deal with Ettercap too? it was backdoored?
-
Mhm, i think they did a good job on the carders.cc, not sure if i can agree with ettecap or backtract, however, if its exploited, it doesnt matter, good to exploit things isn't it ???:P

All I can say is that, these guys are really, uhmm.. really, a bunch of frustrated dumbasses. Let's think truthfully for a second, you quickly get a hold of the idea that they're living a fantasy, the fantasy of being a vengeful angel. Did it do any good shutting down all of these websites, besides enforcing the self-esteem of the 'team' that did this ? It did good for the destroyed communities indeed too. Now, every website treating these stuff will post something about this whole thing, and people who did not know the existance of these sites, will then now.
All these fuckers did is making bt, exploit-db etc etc more popular. The underground watchers they say ? My ass.

I have to agree here. It seems they hoping these sites won't come online after being hacked once or twice. It just makes them stronger and give them more publicity. Wrong way to do it.

Ettercap worked completely fine for me right after the attack. Backtrack is back up too.

Ya, its not like they were going to be down forever.. Most sites like this is back up again within hours. Complete waste of time.

It's cool if it's done for phun :P
But I too don't see a point in doing all this. This was probably done for personal gain more then "community service".
