Usage:
randipgen -g <number of ip addresses to generate>
Simple as that.

Thanks...
I don't know about other people, but I'm not that keen on exe's.
Any chance of source code? So people can learn something from this?
Good job on uploading to evilzone.

You never understand the word "HACK" in your career. Poor being. Your criticism to other's programs will not make you a better hacker. Hacking is an enjoyable hobby, without limitations and restrictions applied.
d4rkcat, yes, I will post the source code, right away. Thanks
EDIT: Here's the two source codes...

What the hell is THAT supposed to mean? :o
And your app does seem like some very elite, like only professional h4k3rs would use. :P
Generate random ip? Wow. That's so l33t.
-
Meh, OP, what would I do with a randomly generated IP? What's the point?
@2460h1 why'd you change your nick? liked the old one :P
-
Now now guys, don't we all know better than to criticize someone for -attempting- to share with the community? He clearly states in the title it is a tool for fun, and he did end up sharing the source which someone may learn something from. Though I didn't look to see how he did any of it
His linguistic skills aside he has a point, criticizing people's code without offering up solutions is poor form.
Is his code useless? Oh fuck yeah it is, I can only think of a few very limited cases where it would be even slightly useful. However:
OP, maybe work on adding a network mask function, Eg. randipgen.exe -e 20 -f 192.168.2.0
This would generate 20 out of the 255 possible IP addresses and list them off, which you could pipe into another program. THAT I think would at least be moderately useful in certain cases.
-
Fun implies enjoyment. you gotta be a sick fuck to enjoy randomly generating IP addresses for no reason... And the quality of the code is that of someone that has been programming for a few weeks. hardly something to be amazed by.
We weren't criticising his code - we were criticising the function of the application. The only solution is to change the function of the program, which quite frankly isn't necessarily something we should be doing?? It's his application after all.
To both of those points, maybe he just enjoys -learning- to program?
-
Generating random IP addresses could have a goo number of reasons which could easily come to your head if you ever had a focus on network attacks. This could just generate IP addresses for your malware to attack, spider or scanner for a specific vulnerability to munch on.
The only initial problem was him not posting the source, which could easily have been embedded in his post than uploaded to EZ. But whatever fits him right.
Otherwise, we could all be on a campaign for many major tools including nmap, to drop the damn functionality in the next release.
-
Agree with kenjoe41,
If it wasn't useful it wouldn't be in nmap, one of the most used and useful tools ever created.
It's not exactly advanced, but certainly not useless.
-
OP should change his thread title.
If I had seen something like "generate random ip addresses" in the title, I wouldn't use my time in this fruitless manner. No offence OP, but simply GENERATING IP addresses is of NO use.
You did a nice job, hacking my time! ;)

Don't listen to the others, you did a good job by posting it in the correct board :D keep up the programming!
