: The Saudi blogger who crossed the religious line
: z3ro January 10, 2015, 11:16:16 AM
Badawi was arrested in June 2012 and sentenced to 10 years in prison and 1,000 lashes after being charged with offences ranging from cybercrime to disobeying his father and insulting Islam on his "Saudi Liberal Network" website - which is now offline.

I think that strict interpretation of Islamic law is pure bullshit.

It probably is. But as it often happens in this world, most people are quite close-minded and aggressive.1

It is bullshit. I can rant on and on about this, but I'll just say that for hacking in Iran, you get fucking hanged. However, I'm pretty sure they're turning a blind eye to all hacks with targets out of Iran, because one of my Iranian friends has done some (some? A LOT) of suicidally stupid things on some major servers and sites and STILL hasn't gotten caught. Hmmm....

Saudi Arabia is where all of this al quida shithead philosophy comes from.
They also train and fund all of those terrorist groups even in Syria, Iraq, like ISIS and Al Nusra.
It's all the same extremest sunni ideology.
How come we don't invade or say anything bad about Saudi Arabia?
Oh yeah, our politician like money and oil more than human life.
Silly me.
It's good to see someone trying to be free even the worst hell hole on earth.
People Power!

@Khofo you don't make sense. It's not like a whole race is bad. It's like saying all Germans were Nazis back in WWII. You have nothing to back that up with. There are good people between them, however small that good/bad ratio may be. But they're there.

Actually Khofo is correct.
He didn't say anything about a whole race of people.
He is referring to the government of Saudi Arabia.
Obviously there are good people in Saudi Arabia as is clear from OP's article.
The US Government and it's bitches are supporting the biggest terrorist supporters in the world, the Saudi Government.
This is nothing to do with people, read more carefully next time please.
The Saud royal family are criminal murderous ex bandit dictators who snort cocaine and fuck hookers in seedy basements in London's Soho area.
lol.

@d4rkcat Ah, sorry. I thought @Khofo was referring to the people.
Actually, I read it over like 2948382 times, but that's what not sleeping does to you. I'll be more careful next time.
And YES I agree with the serious corruption in the government. I can't decide if I should laugh or not.

Yup @Spectrum_963 I referred to the government and not the people
