: techb February 21, 2015, 11:00:32 PM
Since I stll have my job, I decided it was time to get adiquite transpertation for the area I live in. I have to quite smoking to afford the payments, but if I have to choose between cigs and a new truck, I'll pick the truck lol.

2014 Chevy Silverado, only 145 miles on it.

Quit smoking will give you much more than a truck though.
This is a very nice truck, judging from your place's weather a truck is really needed.

Is it 4x4? Seems like it is.
I have never drive a 4x4, it must be cool enough.

Congrats on the truck, though I gotta say I'm pretty sick of seeing the exact same 3 trucks (chevy, ford, dodge) everywhere I go.. I mean, it's not anybody's fault, but I also live in a cold and snowy area (not to mention the thousands of farms) that requires trucks and so almost everybody that can afford one has one of these huge monsters. The problem I have is that for the past decade, these trucks ALL look EXACTLY the same. And yet the rich teenagers still buy another, jack it up, get loud mufflers and huge tires, new sound system, and run around bragging "oh hey look at my new truck n shit" while everyone else goes on "thats a pretty kickass truck i had man, did you see mine?" and then me over in the corner glaring like "it's the same truck wtf".
/endrant

Despite what I just said, these are very nice trucks and the 4x4 is much necessary. I wish I still had my truck ('07 Nissan Frontier v6 4x4), but I'm stuck with a couple of heavyass cars and a tiny light pickup that I don't even bother with in the winter.. and my Chrysler 300 isn't even the AWD edition :/.

Also congrats on quitting smoking!

Must have a small peeper. I'm sure you'll put the bed to good use with all your groceries and bottles of hair product.

Yes, but my truck runs open source hardware/software, I don't think jeep does, or at least activly shows and advocates it.

Lol if that was a joke, I didn't get it. I was asking did you buy that truck because murica or because you can't get anything better?
Also how much does this gasguzzler eat?

I have found it runs QNX:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QNX
http://www.qnx.com/products/qnxcar/

It also has published exploits:
http://www.exploit-db.com/platform/?p=qnx

If not more. And I will hack and eventually run my own code. eventually. I haven't even made the first payment on it yet, so it will have to wait a bit lol. This is the truck I used at work that my company provides me to use, and the places I go in said truck are more than off the beaten path. Quite litteraly fucked up places I shouldn't have to travel. If the Chevy I use for work can get to said hellish locations than I got one for myself.

I am not dissing others, including Jeeps, because they are just as good in my eyes. I will say though, I can afford my truck, it might boil down to who I bought it from, but I can make payments and am doing more than okay. Sure, I did have to stop smoking, which I am doing okay with, but $400/month payment compaired to the $600+/month everyone else required this was/is a good investment for me and fable.
