: Google's getting a 403 error :-/

OK so I developed some sites for a company and up until recently all went fine. However I was alerted by one of the owners of the company he can no longer find his site on Google. Thinking it was just an ID10T error I investigated it. Lo and behold it wasn't showing up in google. I attempted to verify the site with Google Webmaster Tools and was unable to get verification. I tried EVERY SINGLE option and Google couldn't establish a connection to the site. I've been in contact with my hosting provider (bluehost) as well as google and google is saying they're being blocked (IP block not googlebot blocked) yet bluehost is saying that its not blocked. I've checked common extensions between the two sites (running WordPress) and attempted a connection from google services still getting a 403 error...

I'm at a loss for other possible causes and a solution considering google represents 70% of all web traffic :-/

That is really weird indeed and it's your hoster's problem if you're on a shared host. If you have a VPS, then check your firewall settings and whatnot? don't really know :P

Shared host and it's their problem

I came across this:
https://productforums.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/webmasters/LCRoFfbAt70

And ironically it's the same server for om bluehost (box719) so it stand to reason it's definitely the hosts configuration on that box as once that guy had his bluehost box change the issue was fixed.

I contacted bluehost and have them this link to see if they'll change the box because I don't think it's my software. I've never ran the bad behavior plugin which seems to like to block googlebot as an anti spam measure
