I am interested in using Archlinux as a linux system. This is the first time I have any contact with Linux platform and would like to be pointed in the right direction. Would I require to know any coding to be able to set it up? Are there any good tutorials you recomend that would make me capable of setting up, using and navigating in Archlinux.

Arch Linux is not designed to be Linux friendly but it's a very good start. The only tutorials that will help you are personal experience. Use it and fuck up, if there's somthing you don't understand then search up that particular thing.

This is what worries me a bit, because my main intent of using Archlinux is to set up my computer for Anonymity. Then try to follow some tutorials on how to hack, I will most likely experiment from something simple like my own network. But i really need to get the anonymity step right otherwise by first try could by my last.

Your in over your head. You gotta learn how the weapon works before you go an pull the trigger.
"I got a gun, how do I rob someone and get away with it?"
Any linux distro will most likely have what you need.
I would suggest starting with Backbox linux, it will look somewhat familiar to you and there is anonymous option.

I would also suggest using Liberte Linux on a usb drive.

Your gonna shoot your eye out kid.

I wish I could shower you with cookies 0E 800 :O
Truer words have never been spoken.
Besides that I like Arch Linux :) its kinda like Slackware but much friendlier.
To the op, you might want to consider checking out war games sites like hackthissite.org or more advanced mod-x.co.uk <3
Though u need to complete a 'mission' to be able to simply register :')

Learning Linux by learning Arch is a bit like jumping into the deep end of the pool before knowing how to swim. If you want to learn Linux The Hard WayTM, go for it. It's not impossible, and there are plenty of tutorials and Q&A sites to help.
To be on the safe side, put it in a virtual machine, and at least you won't break anything of consequence if you fuck up. You'll likely end up frustrated though. If you want to learn Linux, I recommend warming up with Ubuntu or Mint, then familiarizing yourself with the CLI. Here's a starting point for Linux: LinuxTraining.pdf (http://upload.evilzone.org?page=download&file=l2jmAbG4MrKitEXkSqCIVOgaoN3tP5JrGVUdpaoUdBmxSNRaQy)
On the other hand, if you just want privacy/anonymnity, check out TAILS Linux. It's designed specifically for this purpose. It can also be run as a "Live CD"/"Live USB", which means you don't have to overwrite your existing OS, and you can carry it on your keychain everywhere you go.

Be sure to read and follow steps 1-4.

You're choosing the wrong distro. Arch linux is only a good foundation if you know how to build the system you want already.
Using arch to build a secure, anonymous, stable platform is certainly doable if you know what you're doing. But if you don't, it's like having all the right tools to build a house and never having used any of the tools first.
Inevitably you may build something that can stand up and keep out most of the rain. but it will hardly be stable or secure.
A better option would be setting up a virtual pen test environment. Learning with a prefab kit like Kali and going from there. If you do try to have something illegally over the net... you're probably gonna fuck yourself over... don't do illegal shit, there're plenty of legit ways to learn.
