Lets wait and see, will grab it when it is all out. I hate watching series in halves.

This looks interesting, I'll probably watch it.  If I can handle watching all one and a half hours of ALGORITHM, and enjoy it, then I bet I can make it through this :D.

The pilot episode is available on YouTube. I actually enjoyed it; it will be interesting to see how it develops.

Has anyone finished season 1? If so what do you think about it? What do you think will happen next season?

I was reading some people think Elliot might be in a coma...

Whole season was good, but last episode imho failed.

I thought it was great, 2nd half of the season had less focus on hacking but I liked that the story was strong enough to stand on its own without constantly refering back to its subject matter in a gimmicky way.

I think the last episode will feel a little weak until we get that transition into season 2, but I can see why you feel that way

I binge watched the entire season today at work....  I was super productive !, I have to say I enjoyed it. Its more accurate on things than other TV shows... such as CSI Cyber. I just don't understand why they would make a show and not research things first. My .02

^Agree. But all in all, it was fun watching, totally recommend.

I liked the final episodes. I didn't see it coming. When he kissed her and shit hit the fan I was like whuuuuuu. I agree that the final scenes of the last episode where kinda thrown together, but I don't think it took too much away from it.

I'm excited for season 2.

It was kinda subpar to me in terms of cinematography and acting. I also did not like the plot, though that might just be me. In terms of hacking it is the most accurate i have seen in movies or tv shows so far. Though my favorite tv show is still breaking bad.  ;D

Indeed. I was just starting to lurk around EZ when I started watching the show, and it was fun recognizing things I previously read about here. Things like hacker personalities, political beliefs, ethics, habits, interests (e.g. lockpicking)...

About BrBa, some of the WW's hacks are too good to be true unfortunately, when he makes a car battery for example, but it is a great show.

Just finished watching the first season and honestly don't see what the big deal is.  Up until Fight Club twist it wasn't bad, not something I was eager to watch each new episode, but it wasn't bad.  The low budget appearing cinematography that seems to have bothered others I thought actually worked well with the bland personality of the main characters persona.

Had I wrote this prior to the twist I motioned earlier I probably would have been more positive in the review, it was just such an annoying cheap rip off I actually expected him to mutter "I see dead people" during his epiphany.

It was unique in that the protagonists were anti-capitalist, a couple even identified as "anarchists."
Usually in tv and movies that type of view is attributed to the bad guys. Even in Fight Club (which Mr. Robot obviously pulled heavily from) Tyler Durden ended up being the bad guy, his philosophy portrayed as a product of the narrator's mental  illness.
I can't think of any other shows/movies that show anti-capitalist ideology as even remotely good...
If anyone knows of any, let me know.

Not the anticapitalism, but related to fascists and how the people could be easy be manipulated:

WARNING SPOILERS

To me it's a great show. Not only for the technical part (I had nothing to say about it 'till the bluetooth hacking just before the escaping of Vera from the prison, but the flow of the story needed it so I think I can get over it) but for the accurate study of the character's personality. We can see almost all kinds of personality we can find in today's society and I really like how they portrayed the main character. It really hit me, the authors managed somehow to create a link between him and the audience (probably thanks to the fact that the main character sees us as his imaginary friend).

Plus I have to admit that the cemetery scene really struck me, I couldn't believe it.

An interesting Easter Egg is the one where Tyrell enters the arcade and Elliot explains him what he did and why, pay attention to his words and the song playing in the background (tribute to Fight Club?).

Sounds interesting. The description they gave made me think of the real life Stanford Prison Experiment, where Philip Zimbardo, a psychology teacher, ran an experiment where some students were assigned to be guards, and others prisoners, and set up a mock prison that Zimbardo was the Warden of. The experiment had to be cut short because things got way out of control (the behavior of the students, as well as the way it affected Zimbardo himself).

I remember having studied it at school, it's incredibile how, even without an authority imposing this kind of behavior, they just "got into the part" so much they ended up almost torturing the fake inmates. Plus many years later some of the "guards" had been interviewed and asked questions on that experience and they all recalled it as a happy experience they felt only as a joke... Strange thing human psychology.
