Hello,
I'm interested on doing some data recovery but can't find any decent video training or tutorials.
I'm not trying only software solutions but also hardware! Does someone have some info or can point somewhere where I can get this info!

Thanks!

PS: Also a google search, kickass, evilzone didn't show anything usefully!

I just recently searched for the same stuff when i was doing partition images of old android phone with dd and studyed those images.
I could put many, many links here that i founded useful by googling stuff. But i'm not gonna bother to do that, because you can find those if you just really try. (Ofc. it's possible that we have different opinions what's useful)

Try to blend word "forensics" in your search terms if you already haven't, data recovery is afer all big part of it. I also found forums that are focused in digital forensics. Propably much useful stuff there too. So just keep googling and check ebook section for forensics books.

Thanks for the replay. I actually did due to the fact I once started to study forensic  ;D
My idea were a mix of software : imagining , various software tools etc
and also hardware : fixing common problems , header etc

Thanks anyway!

EDIT: I just re-read you post and this isn't going to teach you data recovery, it simply does it.

I will be doing a post in a lot more detail on this.

But these linux tools are indispensable...

Testdisk
Photorec

I have used these countless times after fucking up a partition.
