: Where to begin?
: TI_Dead_Zone July 30, 2015, 04:41:59 AM
Hello,

I'm very new to hacking it has been something that always been interested in but on few occasions I have been able to attempt or actually succeed at some petty game hack to prove something to my friends. When I was young I took some test or really it was an observation of the doctor's where I had to analyze shapes and patterns and the doctor told my dad I was one who was gifted in that sort of thing. Since I was too young to remember much I don't remember this test but my dad told me of it randomly. I have always had a good memory, anything where it was remembering anything I would always exceed the average person (or student). I'm looking to hone my natural gift I would assume takes the form of coding more than hardware.

My parents would be willing to fund any "classes" I guess you would call them in coding. As I said, I don't know much about it so that's why I am asking this question. I have read a forum post, "Where to start with hacking" by Admin Phage and I think Website Hacking and Code Exploiting is something I could specialize in just so you guys know where I want to go. I also wouldn't want to be a white or black hat more like grey. I don't like people to know what I am thinking, my true intentions or to leave evidence of me being anywhere. What would make more sense to say is I would like to be the man behind the curtain but no one knows of the man or curtain exist.I am willing to learn coding languages like HTML, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, ASP, ASP.net.

Could you guys please point in a direction to get on track to where I would want to go, I simply don't know where to begin with this sort of thing. Doing things like reading  a bunch on encyclopedias aren't my way or memorization. I'm a see and do kind of person more than read and revise so maybe recommend a program or something. I can't even think of something besides a program to say that's how clueless I really am about the topic so you know where to begin helping me.

Thanks,
Dead Zone

I tried to take this seriously, but after this...
My parents would be willing to fund any "classes" I guess you would call them in coding.
..I couldn't see anything else than "spoiled brat, spoiled brat...". It can also be noticed in the way you obviously expect us to spoon-feed you.

so you know where to begin helping me.

I noticed lots of people make this mistake:

coding != hacking

Well in a certain way, it does take some coding but it's more like coding is part of hacking, but hacking is not a part of coding

Start with something that you want to do on the beginning. It doesn't help you when you start with (you see that's the problem you don't have the right question and answer). Just think about something you want to hack and search on google for it. (But please don't search for software to hack facebook accounts or something like that) because you will not find anything because nobody will post something like that on the internet so easy. You have to be laser targeted.Example (How to hack adobe flash games). Also don't search for something ridiculous like how to hack the electric suitcase.

If you want to spend your parent's money, you could opt for the offsec courses...https://www.offensive-security.com/information-security-training/ -- If they have any extra $$ they could pay for mine too!

These worth the money? looked at tthe CEH course in the UK - 1.5k for shit I can find freely online, then a couple hundred for the test.  36 hour course, doesn't equal value for money imho.

It looks more like a new members introduction post than exactly a beginnerĀ“s corner post...

Really, in this section nobody cares about your story, and there is hundreds of topics where u can get an idea of where to start from!

btw, coding and hacking are two different things.  Coding comes first and it is really easy so self-teach yourself, there are a lot of websites, videos, books etc... that can teach you that...

the rest you can find here.... but try some books, at evilzone wiki there is a section of books, you can find them online ...

Well man read Mastering Kaili linux for advanced penetration testing or read the network + and security+ curriculum  then practice a lot when you get stumped read some whitepapers honestly you really don't need great coding skills just learn a scripting language or two bash and perl are best for me. The basics of assembly and C after a while. You don't need an advanced knowledge of PHP to pull off a sql injection just basic sql knowledge and how db connectors work and even then you technically don't need to because of tools like sqlmap but we don't like skids here you spoiled ass cracker who thinks hes bettere than his generational plebs

Maybe _read_ the sticky for the Beginner's Corner first.  It is will give you a lot if insight on how these forums work and how to ask your question(s).

Maybe_Realize_that the OP isn't on the forum anymore, and maby, just maybe don't reply to threads that are dead-or answered.  8)
