Well a new search engine called Blekko has been launched.
Blekko is launched by Rich Skrenta who is also the founder website called Topix.
The work on the Blekko search engine was started in 2007 and It was opened for some people in july2010 and now it has been publically launched.
It has a new technique called slashtags.
Means you can find what you want by using slashtags.
the interesting part is that you can create your own slashtags.
i think it is pretty difficult for normal home users.
You have to remember a lots of slashtags.
But it also provides a simple search like Google.
i think it will take more then 10 years to hit Google or even more.

With no audio, seeing this, first i see some fruit, wheat, then i see somethings based on date.
They will never top to google, maybe not never, but you need alot of money to get those bots going and crawling all of the interwebzz.

This is really not a bad concept. I like the idea that you can mark results as spam and sort by date. Slash-tags work like search-bookmarks I guess.
Something Google does not have, but should. Would be really helpful.

It says it's new, and wiki says "November 1, 2010". But I can recall something like this from a few years ago, I explicitly remember the term "slashtag".
Maybe I suck at judging time.

its says it has been developing since 2007 so maybe you heard something about it in early stage?

Looks sweet. I like the availability of data and the search arguments do look handy. I think they're going to have trouble keeping tags updated for lots of sites though.
