While I was at school I was hacked and he took control of my facebook as well as many other programs and sites. I was wondering how to trace the IP back and fuck his world up so to speak. I will also be reading many other forums just to learn, just for the fact that I am intrigued with programming as well as computing in general. I have never went into depth before into learning programming/C++, due to the face the lack of time in college that I have. I was just wondering where to start or if someone can fill me in personally, either way would be greatly appreciated.

Well... I'd delete this, but since you are asking for help and not directions...
To trace who "hacked" you is impossible, unless you do it right away or on the fly, not the next day... Be paranoid and NEVER send passwords over the web on public networks and if you REALLY have to - use https/SSL. I know it because I am doing it myself (sniffing passwords and sessions at school xD).
To start off with programming, you can check out the topics I posted:
http://evilzone.org/other/(java)-exercises/ (http://evilzone.org/other/(java)-exercises/)
http://evilzone.org/other/uml-learning-material-and-excercises/ (http://evilzone.org/other/uml-learning-material-and-excercises/)
They are for Java, but I suppose you can use them to write in any language you like. I would recommend to go for Python if you are a beginner.

I'd recommend you not start with programming, learning things such as networking would be more useful(don't go too far though, learning the inner workings of tcp is good.. but not for a beginner). A solid grip of command lines(cmd/bash) is also a plus, learning how to use different OS's(backtrack should take care of your linux needs).
Learning to use tools like metasploit/nmap/nc, sniffer/MITM, vuln scanner, etc..(whatever comes with backtrack) is an excellent way to start, unless you wish to delay hacking for a while. You pick the tools, alot of choices.
The tools you choose will have a wiki/documentation, read it. There are also books available for the more popular ones, there was the nmap book and I saw recently released "metasploit the penetration tester's guide".. Haven't read it, have a long to-read list. Quick scan of it though looks good.
As for hacking techniques, there are many websites to consult. Read the papers, tutorials, etc.. Most of the sites have useful tools as well, since I'm on EZ I'll say start with this sites tutorial section.
As for languages you may wish to focus on easier to use, more often encountered languages like sql, bash. Basic PHP, JS/HTML & a scripting language of your choice. Also not only languages, protocols: HTTP should be the first.
Diving straight into Java or C++ right away will not help you. You'll find all you need has already been coded, although if you wish to take the opposite route(from the ground up), C & asm under linux.
IMO, haven't done this in a while.
> Evilzone should have a sticky for this question, it's a very popular one and for a very good reason. One made by several members, with a big ass collection of links.

I really appreciate you guys taking your time to help me point me in the right direction and also giving me programs to get acquainted.
To Kulver: I understand that it's impossible to retrace the hacker the next day, I was intending to set it up so that he would do it again, making it possible for me to get his IP maybe through Zonealarm. But getting his IP with my skills do about next to nothing lol. Also, since I was on a school computer and not my own, there wasn't really that I could do about it.
To Xzid: I really appreciate your suggestions and will get started as soon as I can. Just so many things to learn all at once. I just need need to pick something and get started, guess that's how everything else is done in life also though :P. Was wondering if you have any recommended links to reading and/or tutorials that go in depth that could possible cut down the searching time, would be highly appreciated.

Even if you get his IP, you won't be able to do shit with it.
Learn what xzid said to understand why.

Start with learning cmd prompt, basics like navigating will be sufficient. A tutorial like this (http://www.mahalo.com/how-to-use-command-prompt) makes me lol but can be of help to newbie. Hope you enjoy text, because you'll be seeing it alot. A unix shell is very similar, but different cmds. Download the back track livecd and boot it(no need to install it yet, you can also use a VM if you prefer). Learn to use the linux shell (http://www.tuxfiles.org/linuxhelp/cli.html).
Afterwards networking (http://www.aboutdebian.com/network.htm). This tutorial is good for basics.
What I said about the metasploit book was underestimated, upon further review he goes into alot of hacking techniques. You can find the pdf through google. It may require a little bit of startup knowledge though.
Anything you do not understand, google it. Soon you'll know exactly what you should be learning next. Cannot go into more detail, typing this on android device(am starting to get pretty fast with this touch keyboard).

Thanks. I'm more experienced, but these tutorials helped me a lot to. Great to be part of a community who welcomes newcomers. Thanks guys!

Everyone just listen to xzid
i love you ....... +1

About what you said on the IP , it's not impossible to trace him because the IP itself is dynamic, so if you could find from which pc he did it in the school
network you maybe on to something but other than that it would be quite difficult to find him/her.

I'm also new to hacking and have a book that's teaching me a lot about networks from my college class but I noticed that some of the links in the about posts are inactive. I have basic knowledge of networks now and wondering if there are any other tutorials that I should be looking at next.
