Hello friends.
today i tried to remove one virus from pen drive in windows but i couldn't.
Well i deleted it in Linux, no big deal but i just can't in windows.
there was three folder.
autorun.inf.mal
zzzzzz
zzzzzz.z
[ I didn't want to format it, i want to delete only virus so don't come up with that kind of thing] :)
so i tried almost everything to delete it.
by simply selecting it and deleing it, nothing happen, no message nothing.
then i open taskmgr then check for suspicious process then end explorer, then ran cmd.
from cmd i tried to delete it but message came up that couldn't read the sector.
then i tried to rename it and delete it.. same message.
i tried to change attribute then to delete it.. same message.
so any idea, how can i delete this kind of folders?
don't tell me that why didn't you try to open autorun.inf in notepad then delete entry or check it with antivirus.
it was autorun.inf.mal folder not file, and i check it with bitdefender, kaspersky, norton, quickheal, avira. none have detected it.
any body have encountered this virus befor?
i have three solution
1. format drive.
2. delete in Linux.
3. i am not sure about this but autorundetecter or usb security might detect it.
but, like i said i only want to delete that folder.
so, tell me if any buddy got an idea ;D

Have you tried This app? (http://www.filehippo.com/download_unlocker/)
But it might be some specialy crafted flaw for Windows. Did you try to see if it also works on other versions, such as Win7 or Vista or Win95?

Nope i didn't try that one.
its only delete file if your file is opend in any application or its installed in services.
you can do this task by your self, just give the user fullest autority and close any related service or application.
it won't work for this one.
anyway, thank you buddy :)

1) Backup the other data from the stick
2) Format it
3) Put the other data back on it
4) ???
5) Profit
