Haha, yea tittle says it all im thinking of writing a book i have about 14 pages down, been putting work into it now. Problem is i dont know anything about the process of publishing a book. So far my professore love the progress my friends are hooked they keep texting me for updates my one friend is really hooked. Problem i have it i am writing two books at once and they are like polar opposites in writing style its weird and i feel like the fact im writing two at once is holding me back. Anyone know the publishing process? And if you want updates on the book and samples of it you can hit me up whenever i love critics =)

Publishing an E-book on itunes or barnes and nobel is a lot easier. It also has a greater chance of earning you a profit, since you pay no money to get it out there and people have to pay to obtain it. Much easier and cost effective than hardcover books.

And how do i do that Wolf, and say i do that could i still put idk a copyright or patent on it and sell it hardcover later?

I don't know about publishing, but AFAIK to publish a hardcover book, you need to sign a contract with a publishing company (or not). Anyway - a publishing company has to be contacted. They will then review your book and decide if it is worth it or not...
I might be wrong... maybe not.

Sorry for such a late reply, got covered but other posts. Yes, it will be copy written, and since you own the rights you could still make hard covered books if you desired. Just make sure you don't give the rights away!!!!

I have some experience with writing books and short novels.I wrote some fan fiction and published it on wattpad and I got lots of fans.Anyways, I started writing something truly my own and I have looked up the publishing process.Unless you have a contract with a publishing company then your best options are publishing it online via itunes or any other online service, or finding a self publishing website. What that means is print on demand.I think that amazon offers this service as well. This is all I can remember right now.
EDIT: Be careful if you are signing with a publishing company, cause in the contract many times it states that if you don't publish a second or third book with them then they ask you to pay back the signing bonus.
