Hey, I want to present my latest project, intended for the physics lesson. I used high voltage transformer from some very old tv. The design produces a much higher current frequency (~50 kHz) and voltage (~10 kV). Such frequency causes that project is 'rather' not dangerous.. ;P

Hehe, looks cool ;)
-
whoah cool :D
Did you figure it yourself, or is there some schematic available?
-
I did it with schematics ;D For oriented in such things:

Elements on PCB

Scheme of the project

Description on this site is in polish, but you can try to google it. It's based on ne555 circuit, irf540 transistor, and high voltage transformer from old tv.
It requires a lot of work, but final effect is.. electrifying :D

Yeah... I'll try that some time in the future :D
Not that much of an electromechanic.

That is freaking awesome :D, those things define my childhood :D
