I got a new phone yesterday, the ZTE Warp (http://cnet.co/vGJld1 (http://cnet.co/vGJld1)) through boost mobile. Decent coverage in my area. Anywho, I found this great app, pdanet. If you have heard of it, you already know that its like a 2 click tether. So after all this time, about 6 months now I have finally got a phone and a company that will allow me to tether decent internet speeds. Not really good streaming speeds but good browsing speeds, about 100k/s. I pay 45 dollars a month unlimited talk/text/web or 2 dollars a day with the prepaid. No contract, its great. Something to look into if you have it in your area, also the parent company is sprint, so you pretty much get their coverage as well as nextel (they owned boost before sprint bought them out).

I think there are more apps on the market that allows you to do that...

I'm aware, this is just the easiest and fastest one I've found lol

Yes, PdaNet is decent, however koush made a tether app (usb+wireless) without the need of being rooted (however, why would you not want to root!)

wireless tether without root, a little be more worthy as the usb tether has been there done that without root. PdaNet's been out pretty much since the start of Android. I remember rocking that on my G1 and OG Droid!
