The university internet connection I use, does not permit downloading files over 10 MB, has blocked many sites and does not allow torrentz downloading. However, I use ultrasurf and have been able to open blocked sites and overcome the 10 MB download limit. But, I cannot download torrents at all. Now, since torrific.com has stopped its services, there's no way to download them directly too. Could anyone please suggest a way to download torrents??

Try using the connection from an Ethernet socket. There should be some in the classrooms, so get a descent cable and use internets from there.

Here is a tip. Since you managed to overcome the 10mb limit, get a portable utorrent client and an external hard drive and start downloading what you want.
Edit: 10MB limit is unbelievably pathetic?

I2P has a built-in torrent client. I don't know if they have a portable version of the software.
