Found this while googling Linux.
15 million for a kernal? I wish I knew how to write a kernal just for the fun of it, google here I come (well after some bitwise operators; ATmega328 I choose you!)
Just imagine, 10 more years and we might have a kernal thinking for itself instead of a person programming it. TED will show you the way (lol).
ANYWAY, the reason for googling is because my wife makes hippy style knotted bracelets for fun. She made me an all black one, and the newest one has lime green beads and a black hemp.
I wanted to her to do one in Linux colors, and via google the best colors in my opinion is black, white, and orange to depict the Linux penguin and the beads will spell Linux.
Are these the best colors to depict Linux? Wanting your input here...
Her bracelets pretty much look like this (except with more knots and 6 beads):
A wild image appears.

I know this post is is a mix between Linux and hippies, but I hope you liked the trivial stats and am looking forward to what you think the official colors of Linux should be.

Sweet, besides being a huge geek I love hippy culture as well :)
Not this summer but next summer I'll be living in my van for at least six months, it should be a cool adventure! My plan is to chill in a warm place (maybe mexico) for six months out of the year (winter) and then live in my van for the remaining six months (spring/summer/fall). This coming winter I'll be taking my first six month vacation (most likely in mexico) and I'm going to study programming hardcore, I'm hoping that I can make some of my money to live on doing PHP programming. I've estimated my monthly expenses after I start living in my van at about $600 a month for food, car insurance/gas, and health insurance. I have about $8,000 saved right now and my dad is going to sell me a nice van for about $2,000, I'm hoping to have another $2,000 saved by this winter! A lot of people think I'm crazy but I think it's going to be badass!!!
The site I got most of my ideas from are:

Sorry for being completely off topic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Living in a car is a bit overrated in my book. I lived in a Lebaron convertible for about 4 months because my mother was addicted to meth... fun times. And you are not safe in your car (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ldyx3KHOFXw) btw.
Off topic it was. But fun none the less I guess.

Lol that video reminds of Vice City... such good times :D
About linux colors... I'd say you chose good ones. Tux is in black/white/orange. Another combination would be green on black - like the terminal :P
BTW it's Kernel, not Kernal :P and I also was wondering how many lines of code does it take to make a kernel.... shocked I am.

@Kulverstukas
Sorry about the spelling, I get them confused sometimes. And she already made me one with green/black and it looks pretty sweet. The pull strings might look grey, but it's green.

Hi, I'm new. I was just looking around. I love those bracelets! Maybe we can have your wife make one for me? Does she sell them?

Yeah she does. I'll talk to her about it. Just let me know about the colors you want.
-
What colors does she have? Can I pick any colors? Also, how much would she charge?
-
I'm not sure how much she will charge yet because she isn't home. She can do any color you want though, she has like a thousand beads.
-
The Zenburn colour scheme would be pretty cool.
