: How to put ICS (Android 4.0+) into Debugging and Unknown Sources
: iTpHo3NiX April 22, 2012, 11:21:50 PM
Well if your like me who has been following Android for a while you will know that to put your phone in debugging mode and enable unknown sources. Well the lovely people at google I guess no longer think these settings belong in different places! Have no fear the options are not gone... Just moved. This is the same for phones as well as tablets!

1. Menu->Settings
Duh!

2. Unknown Sources is under "Security"
(http://i43.tinypic.com/8zp72c.jpg)

3. USB Debugging is now under "Developer Options"

Should help some users find out where google hid this stuff lol

Unless your with AT&T. Then you == No 3rd party apps. You'll still need the SDK and ADB.

Just another reason why I would NEVER use such a crappy service such as AT&T :P

It wasn't my choice at the time. My phone HTC Aria is an ok phone though. I don't have service on it anyway and the SIM isn't even in it anymore. I have it rooted, but have yet to put a new ROM on it.

You should unlock it and bring it into metro or a service like criket, tracfone, etc :-P

But yes AT&T definatly is not a good service... I have had T-Mobile, Verizon, Metro, StraightTalk, AT&T and I can safely say AT&T and Metro have about the same speed and service... my prepay (straighttalk by tracfone) has better service and faster 3g then AT&T. Their 4g gets even worse!
