This page contains a collection of proxy servers for various purposes. I have personally used the socks4/5 on a large scale with great success.
- proxy.exe HTTP/HTTPS proxy with FTP over HTTP support
- ftp.exe FTP proxy
- socks.exe SOCKS v4/4+/5 proxy
- pop3p.exe POP3 proxy
- tcppm.exe TCP port mapper
- udppm.exe UDP port mapper
- smtpp.exe SMTP Proxy
- icqpr.exe ICQ/AOL proxy
- msnpr.exe MSN proxy
Run with logging disabled, run on library computers or elsewhere. Instant elite private proxy ;D

They are all CLI applications. Source is available :)

I used those once. Didn't work so good, I don't know what was wrong, nor I can remember :D

I got the complete opposite experience. Worked very well for me.

So how do you use it?
Like if i decided to bring that with me somewhere and install it on my personal computer in another house so it runs on startup and is somewhat hidden..
Would i have to create a script or something that runs on startup?
And you would have to write down the computers ip and port too right?

Read the documentation :P
But ok, there is some install as service feature, but I cant get it to work. So a external program or script to run it at startup might be a good idea. And yes, this is not a reverse proxy, so you do have to note down the IP and port.
Simple usage: socks.exe -t -u -p PORT

mhm, looks good will try :D
-
ehm yo first of all, u use a proxy to hide ur ip right ?
so, if u router your traffic through another pc in your house u still can get busted, i mean the ip of the routers stays the same or am i wrong ??
your pc ---------->proxy(second pc in our case)---------->router so tthe router ip stays the same and i dont know why that shoud get you anonymous throu they can bust the routers ip ??
-
bla bla bla
Router has nothing to do with anonymity. Proxy changes your outgoing IP, that is it. Router or no router, IP still gets changed.
Router is just there to route traffic and create a local network at home.

Obviously you have to run the proxy on another network, yes.

The original post states it is a CLI(command line interface) tool. Learn how to use a command line first.
Also, this thread is old, try not to necro threads.

It is supposed to be like that.

Dude, thanks for answering! I may not be pro in computers and command line but i know some things...
my problem is that there were no options as far i saw. :/ Any documentation would be nice :D
Oh, typing [ENTER] does not do anything. But it should do right?
-
no need top feel bad we all start somewhere thats why i love this site, when i first started i didnt know shit, but netspliter still helped me
here is the documentation
http://www.3proxy.ru/documents/
what kind of proxy are you trying to run ?
-
Uh, an HTTP for start.
-
well here is the usage for proxy.exe
Usage: proxy.exe options
Available options are:
-d go to background (daemon)
-fFORMAT logging format (see documentation)
-l log to stderr
-lFILENAME log to FILENAME
-bBUFSIZE size of network buffer (default 4096 for TCP, 16384 for UDP)
-t be silent (do not log service start/stop)
-iIP ip address or internal interface (clients are expected to connect)
-eIP ip address or external interface (outgoing connection will have this)
-pPORT - service port to accept connections
-a - anonymous proxy
-a1 - anonymous proxy with random client IP spoofing
Example: proxy.exe -i127.0.0.1
so start up cmd prompt and use the command
cd x:\pathg\to\proxy.exe\folder\
proxy.exe -p8080
to start up a http proxy on port 8080
-
Thanks for the instructions! I hope that will be fun ^^

thats because your just running the app , you need to run it with arguments +
you wont see anything till someone connects to the proxy

I got a problem now. Everything went fine, i downloaded, i went to the file and run it ^^ The problem is:
Failed to open service Manager: No Error
i wouldnt ask again for help BUT the is "no error". Its a bit complicated! I am out of ideas guys...tried to fix some erros from my computer about the registry and all went fine. Nothing changed... :/
-
i cant help to much because i dont have 64bit but try to run as admin and tell me if you still get the error
-
That passed though my head too...no result dammed :(
-
ok looks like 3proxy is not going to work for you
if you dont mind me asking , what are you going to use the proxy for ??
maybe there is a better solution
-
You know what, I'm really sorry guys. But, I'm going to necro this. Can I get some more feedback on this? Obviously ande you have used this. I have gotten really interested in this recently because I've been looking into other forms of anonymity besides a VPN and this -- as well as the whole idea of botnet proxies which seems to be a hard topic to learn more about -- has caught my interest.
Again, sorry.

I dont know how much clearer I can put it.
You run one or more of these proxy programs on some machine, be it compromised or not. Make sure that ports are open and so forth. Then use that machine as your proxy. A while back when I was using this a lot I was running the socks proxy and a program called proxywall or something like that to tunnel certain programs on my machine through whatever proxy I wanted.
EDIT: If you are unsure on how to use the programs just do a --help or -help or /help or-h or /h or whatever it is that gives you the usage/help text.
-
Sorry, for some reason the documentation wasn't very clear to me. The english documentation is incomplete anyway. Thanks.
So basically if you want a lot of options you make it a journey to go around far and wide and install 3proxy on a bunch of different library, home, and other computers and such. :P
Fun.
