Richard Robinson (schiz0id) is the owner and maintainer of the website elite-hackers.com. This site is intended as a joke

http://www.elite-hackers.com (http://www.elite-hackers.com/) was launched on June 16, 2007 in order to trick people into thinking that they were learning how to hack computer network and websites (and it has worked pretty well). It quickly gained popularity and was receiving a substantial number of hits. It was down from early January 2008 to April 1st 2008 due to a hardware failure. schiz0id signed up for web hosting, and now the site is building up traffic once again.
The entire site was made to make fun of the idiot kid who schiz0id was like when he was 12. He always wanted to "learn to hack," and it took him like a year to learn that it wasn't anything like that. Yet, everyone like that at the time had their stupid Angelfire account with a black background and lime green text who thought they were Neo from the Matrix since they could "program" in HTML.

Facts

Not really a hacker
Actually ended up getting a job in computers

Rumors

Hacked the gibson
Goes around to popular hacking sites posting his "article" about hacking myspace accounts
Getting mailbombed for being the "world's greatest hacker"

apparantly the site is meant as a joke, not a actual source of information. I wonder how long it would take someone to notice that it's a joke....

I would say notepad is one of the most useful tools around.

I prefer Nano, and if it is simple stuff like notes or reminders I echo it to a file (e.g. echo "foo" > bar.txt)
or >> to append.

I tried vi, but didn't really care for it. Nano has a much simpler interface. Although, I have to use vi for the embedded stuff I do, at least until I can compile nano lol. Plus vi seems to have trouble when working over an serial interface no matter the baud or flow control.

If i ever have to do command line editing, i go for vi. otherwise notepad++ all the way!

Yeah i remember this site, first time i saw it was when i first began with hacking. And even at that time i was like "Who has made this?". But I must admit it is one of the best trolls i have seen in a while.
