Anyone else heard about this?

That's pretty badass

Old trick exploited on a large scale ^^
Also "<...> Apple Macs have been infected <...> iPads were hit, too."
Android's and Linux's were safe yet again!

Almost. Most routers are running embedded Linux kernels, so technically *nix was hit too. But yes, OS's seem to be fine lol. I would love to see the looks on the Apple fan-boys faces when the ISPs rip off the bandaid, "What the hell? I'm not supposed to get viruses!"
I've had interest in boot sector viruses and this makes me want to dig up research again.

The Fbi has a website up that checked your dns to see if you had it. Everyone on the news is fracking complaining. There were 2people on the radio talk show that I listen to that class med to have it but knowing them the just probably need to reset their router. Dumb rednecks.

It would be interesting if that website was actually set up by the same people who created the virus so when you clicked on it to see if you are infected, then you would get infected.
-
Well it was on fbi.gov so i dunno lol

Just thought it would be an interesting idea. I'm sure this particular one was fine. :P

I always though these guys were stupid... could have done this so much better...
Were I the one in that position I would just have the ads on the sites change to my own and never make it obvious something is going on.
