: self deleting mem stick ?

I got this 500 GB mem stick as a gift and the thing just wipes itself after  48 hour it's done this 6 times now and I don't know why ,it drives me crazy if anybody knows why it does it or how to fix it notify me please.

May be there is some hidden software that deletes the USB data after 48 hours. I know this sounds stupid but it could be possible, since you got this as a gift? You know where am going with this. Right?

Try reformatting it. What OS are you using?

I'm using windows and I've formatted it a few times and i don't think it is a hidden soft that deletes the files the girl how gave me it is not very good with pc's

umm.. you mean to say that data deletes itself after 48 hrs.. Have you copied somewhat around 1 gb data and retrieved it back?


read it way back.. maybe this is the case?
