Look at the screen at an angle, most fingers will leave a greasy trail behind allowing you to unlock the screen at will

thats a good idea, but in case you forgot ur pattern lock, is there any program to open it?

Here is a current and interesting thread I found over at XDA recently. It deals with resetting the pattern lock through ADB by pushing commands through the console. Ideally, USB debugging would have to be enabled, but according to the post, no root is required. There is also a video link showcasing the method in action. Could be worth a read through, definitely an intriguing work around. Here's the link:

Use hard reset key .. Its will reset all of your phone include data just like new one . Just press power up volume + power off and home keys in the same time . Just select factory reset then its will reset ..
