Agreed, the Python guy sounds much happier and aren't taking it as serious as the Perl guy. I would always go for Python, but since i haven't tried Perl i cant say anything about it.

I guess I'm biased though. But python seems more fun, easy, useful. Especially with all the attention it gets from really really big names in industry. I feel I could do more with python, not only that but find more documentation on it. I've never scrapped the internet for pearl, but python being so easy; everyone and their grandma is using it and putting on the web what they have done.
