I'm pretty pissed that I downloaded 3 gigs of shit to install and it doesn't fucking work. </rage>
Anyways, I downloaded Windows 7 Ultimate and burned it to a DVD. When I install Windows and partition my HDD + all that jazz, it works smoothly... BUT... whenever I reboot into the fresh install, I'm using Windows "Basic" theme that has no transparency, no video drivers, no wireless drivers and NO FUCKING USB DRIVERS. Does anybody have an idea on how I can install Windows 7 + the correct drivers?

It should have at least come with generic USB and GPU drivers. If you're on a laptop or you have a wireless card, it won't have any wireless drivers. You have to download those yourself.
I could go on and tell you a bunch of other stuff, but actually it sounds to me like you go a bad file, seeing as you downloaded and burned the CD yourself. Check the source you got it from for credibility and stuff, maybe try downloading the file somewhere else to see if you get the same result.
A quick google should get you the wireless and video drivers you need, just type in the chip type + driver (like for my computer, I would have to type in "NVidia GeForce GT 550M driver" for the video driver). But I see no reason for USB drivers to be nonexistant, unless the OS doesn't like the architecture of your computer, and that's doubtful.
EDIT: Damnit skidiot, give me a chance xD haha

I'm not running windows right now though, so I couldn't run the actual customization tool :c
silenthunder: It kind of sucks because I don't have very fast internet (80 kilobytes / second max speed) and I just can't deal with downloading 2 gigs of stuff and then it quitting and being unrecoverable, so I used torrents. If somebody could post a known credible Torrent to any version of Windows 7 lol I'd be happy, but i'm still looking.
as for the USB drivers deal... honestly. No USB drivers. I plugged in my USB and nothing happened. I might just not have looked in the right spot but I mean, nothing happened. Anyways thanks for the help gents, I posted on the microsoft forum so maybe they can help xD probably not lol.

I've found some OK windows customization tools, but I like to keep my windows clean for easy gaming and so I don;t lose any speed to background processes

I just can't directly download a 3 gigabyte file. I'm searching around for a torrent, but THANKS for the cracks in that one post you did.
I'm going to use "multiget" it seems to be like a nice download manager for Linux (windows and mac too). Thanks for the help fellas ;)
