I don't have wired internet either , my broadband is USP one

hm... Never dealt with broadband connections much at all, but have you looked into ndiswrapper? I know its used for wireless cards, but perhaps it could work with your broadband card?
-
I'm totally new to backtrack , but I will check what you mentioned thanks in advance and any further help is appreciated . :D

I dont now think that this would be the right approach.
As far as I know networkmanager is one of the few that support these connection types, hardware is often not such a problem , you would be suprised what is supported by the kernel.
So basically youll need to remove or disable WICD which I believe is the default connection manager as used by bt.
Wow my apt get skills are rusty lol, gotta love pacman.
something like; apt-get remove wicd
Or just use; service wicd stop
Than youll have to install networkmanager.
Make sure that wicd is disabled or not installed.
Start the network manager daemon and nm-apllet.
Take a look there and see if you get anywhere with it.
(We are not talking Ethernet or Wireless right ??)

mm yes no wireless or ethernet , another problem is that I don't have any other internet connection right now so I can't download anything until I discover how to connect first , so any more suggestions
