I think Windows 8 is designed for tablets more than for PCs. The PC version is somewhat an addition of the new start menu, apps and the Windows 7 desktop. Personally I thinks Windows 8 sucks and Windows Vista is better than it.
Answer the poll too :)
And tell me what you guys think about Windows 8

Microsoft had a few good ideas for windows 8, but still needs a lot of improvement...
For example, I like the fact that you can put a win8app on the left/right side of your screen. Quite useable when chatting or listening to music. But they'll have to improve it...
Also, for almost all apps that use internet you have to have a microsoft account...
And I have lots off compatibily issues.
Also, the menu's that open when hovering the corner of the screens could get quite useful with a little improvement. esp. for fast access to some programs/options...
And the multi-screen support is better than in win7...

The BIOS doesn't have to do with Windows
The manufacturer puts the BIOS on there and what's coming on computers now is UEFI which technically isn't a BIOS at all

Hover over the left top corner -> hover over the app you want to close -> right click -> close

XP won't be supported by microsoft soon (with updates, etc...), so it'll be quite vulnerable, even if you know what you're doing
It's true win8 sucks at the moment, win7 is currently the best windows.
I'm using windows sometimes, esp. for gaming, but when coding/etc I use linux too (mint/debian)...

WinXP is the best system MS ever produced. With all the fancy and glamorous shit they make these days it's going down hill.
I had used WinXP all my life and will for ever use it (among other systems...) - I don't update my copy, so I don't worry that much about updates.

This. XP is by far the best OS built by MS.

I think it would be better if you add another option(None), definitely I would choose it.

Well windows 8 has to be the worst release from microsoft ever. I mean things are quite unstable in Windows 8 (I'm experiencing a lot). After installing Win 8, I had problems such as network and internet connectivity issues, problem of crash during updates, and problem with unstable graphics, to mention few.
Win 7 is far better than Win 8 (Though XP is the best time according to its time; comparing relatively). Win 8 seems to be the result of rapid engineering without any software and system testing.

Windows Vista is better
You are the only person I know who thinks this. Anyway, I no use windows so after 7 nothing matters to me.

okay, my buddy, win 8 user said this: "on wind8 compared to 7 haves only one good thing. win 8 starts fast, thats only thing better than 7"

Have you ever used Vista? Even on SP2 it sucks
I haven't had any problems that you listed
Maybe it's a layer 8 issue, that seems to happen a lot

I have not used Vista so I forgot to mention that Win 8 is the worst among the Windows I've used ;).

A lot in windows 8 & internet connectivity problem is killing me in the network I am in (The connectivity dies once in a while & I need to reboot; & not just me majority of those who switched to Windows 8 are getting this problem in my network), where iptables & tc are the firewall & traffic controlling toolsets.
